Really pleased that Government have confirmed they’re extending the £2 bus fare cap until 31 Oct & introducing £2.50 cap from Nov’23-Nov’24 for all routes in Warrington.
During the Ministerial statement today I raised my concerns that Labour Councillors in Warrington still haven’t signed off the purchase of a new fleet of zero emission buses despite having received confirmation of the funding 18 months ago.
The new buses will cost less to run and maintain meaning more can be spent on providing additional routes and services later into the evening and weekends.
