I’m grateful to Andy Mellors, the MD of Avanti West Coast for coming to Parliament today to meet with MPs from along the West Coast Mainline to talk about train service.
Helpful to hear about the recruitment the train operator has undertaken to hire and train new drivers and the work they’re doing to improve reliability of services.
I was able to make him aware directly of the experience people in Warrington South have had using mainline services over the last 6 months. I’m looking forward to meeting him next at Warrington Bank Quay station later in the summer.
