I want to see the Government address the many concerns raised with me by leasehold residents in Warrington South who have experienced problems with their freeholder, be that with unexpected bills, failures to provide service or an inability to secure their freehold.
I was shocked to see correspondence recently between a leaseholder and freeholder which gave a quote twice as high as the recommended price for purchasing a freehold, it’s clear that new legislation is urgently needed.
I recently met with Rachel Maclean MP the Housing Minister to discuss issues on Steinbeck Grange and other concerns. I’m pleased to hear the Government intend to address many issues in the Leasehold Reform Bill which is expected in the next Kings Speech.
