This week it has been a pleasure to welcome five young people from Warrington to my constituency office in Warrington and to Westminster as part of my annual MP work experience programme.
Helping young people find out more about the world of work, expectations in the workplace and how you can secure a fulfilling and enjoyable career is something many local organisations play their part in each year, it’s a great way to spot future talent and hear from young people about their views on all kinds of issues and trends.
As well as finding out about the work my team and I do to help constituents, they’ve spent time with me in the House of Commons learning about how legislation passes through Parliament and meeting with Civil Servants, Journalists and Think Tanks as well as a quick visit to Downing Street where we met Chief Mouser, Larry the Cat!
Well done to Charles, Leela, Katie, Serena and Dan for asking great questions and working really hard during the programme.
