Really interesting visit today to what was originally the Warrington Co-operative Society on Sankey Street in the town centre to meet Ben Rafferty who is restoring many of the original features and transforming into new space for retail, bars and restaurants.
It was my first time seeing the original Co-op hall on the 2nd floor, with its wonderful dome ceiling and lovely original features - the plans are to fully restore this important part of the building as a function suite.
As well as creating office space the team are currently in negotiations with a boutique hotel company to launch a new place to stay in the town centre in the next 6 months.
