🇬🇧🚜🌾 Good to meet with the NFU in Westminster this morning on ‘Back British Farming Day’ and I recently met with the President of the NFU in Cheshire so that I can represent the views of farmers in Warrington South to Government.
On #BackBritishFarmingDay I'm really pleased to see that the Government has supported a call for a 'Buy British' section on supermarkets online stores. When I go shopping I make a conscious effort to try and buy food grown and produced in the UK.
The aim of the 'Buy British' section is simple: make it easier for consumers to buy homegrown produce online and support our farmers and our environment.
I hope the supermarkets listen and respond the 17,000 people who’ve also backed the petition to make the #BuyBritishButton a reality!
