Very pleased to see a further £1.4million allocated to Cheshire Police through the safer street fund with the primary focus of tackling neighbourhood crime, violence against women and girls and anti-social behaviour
Since its launch the Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer has secured just under £5million in total, funding projects across Cheshire including significant schemes in Bewsey and Whitecross, South Warrington and Warrington town centre, This has included funding for interventions targeting Neighbourhood Crime (target hardening, property marking, mobile CCTV, street lighting, improved fencing) and Violence Against Women and Girls with the provision of safe spaces.
The Commissioner recently met with myself and Councillor Linda Butler to discuss steps to tackle anti social behaviour in Chapelford and Old Hall including better CCTV coverage in this area.
