Stopped off at Cardinal Newman High Schoo to watch the final of the Warrington inter-schools year 6 football tournament - and to hand out some winners medals and certificates.
After a knockout tournament it was Ravenbank Primary School from Lymm in red shirts and Christ Church Primary in Padgate in blue shirts. The match ended with a win for Ravenbank Primary School after a penalty shoot out.
Thanks to the school sports co-ordinators for making the tournament happen and for the student referees from Cardinal Newman School who officiated. Great to see the sportsmanship from all the players and good to know our future football stars know how to score from the penalty spot!
