What a fantastic day, with hundreds of people attending my apprenticeship and jobs fair at the Parr Hall yesterday.
Many of the young people who I talked to said they were really grateful that they could come and talk to respected employers about the apprenticeships they were offering before having to make decisions about what to do next.
So many of the companies who attended also had apprentices on their stands to talk about their experiences and why learning while you earn is a viable option.
We’ve also managed to match businesses with candidates and I know offers have already been made for jobs, with more to come in the next few weeks. I’m already looking forward to running the event again in 2024!
