It was good to be able to spend time at Warrington Hospital with Health Minister Andrew Stephenson MP to see how staff are working to reduce patient waiting times across its services.
Talking to medical staff and the hospital leadership team we discussed the initiatives underway in three specialties including Urology and Gynaecology which includes action such as running weekend operating lists as well as discussing facilities and wait times in A&E and the need for a new hospital in Warrington.
Along with the Prime Minister, I’m focused on doing all I can to reduce NHS waiting lists & we’re making inroads, with latest data showing overall waiting lists fell for the fourth month in a row.
