It was fantastic to see the transformation of Kingsway House in Latchford following a £6.4 million refurbishment by Torus - and a great honour to be asked to cut the ribbon and officially declare the apartments open with the help of the Mayor.
After the ceremonial duties I got to have a look round before the first tenants move in. The 1960s tower block has been totally transformed to offer 50 social rent apartments, most of which have balconies with great views, open plan living, enhanced safety features and a sprinkler system funded in part by Cheshire Fire and Rescue.
