Today marks the 30th anniversary of the IRA attack on Bridge Street in Warrington Town Centre that killed two children and left more than 50 injured.
At 12.20 today the town fell silent to remember 12-year-old Tim Parry and 3-year-old Johnathan Ball who tragically died as a result of the blast. It was a very great honour to hear from Colin Parry on the work the foundation he and Wendy set up to work for peace in Northern Ireland and other terror attacks.
Very pleased to also welcome Sir John Major back to Warrington who as Prime Minister at the time. Today he talked about how the attack in Warrington drove him to find a solution for Northern Ireland.
